Chimgan, Amirsoy, and Beldersay

Our base for the trip will be Chimgan, located in the western mountains of the range. Its main peak, the Greater Mount Chimgan, reaches a towering height of 3,309m and is equipped with several ski lifts that enable access to the 700-1000m long descents. Chimgan, translating to ‘green valley’, is often referred to as the ‘Uzbek Switzerland’. The fresh, pure air of the mountains and rivers, the fragrances of flowers and fir-tree woods, make Chimgan famous for its acclaimed health-improving properties, as well as its beauty. Located 80km from Tashkent, Chimgan is Uzbekistan’s most popular ski resort.

Founded in 2019, Amirsoy is the most modern ski resort of Central Asia, as well as Uzbekistan’s largest ski resort. The resort sits on the spurs of the Chatkal Ridge, one of the most picturesque places in the region. With over 2,000 acres of terrain and 645 meters of vertical drop, the resort offers groomed runs with plenty of lift-accessed side-country that return to the gondola and chair lifts, allowing you to get maximum turns in the super dry powder.

Our final skiing destination is Beldersay, the resort with the longest alpine ski route in Uzbekistan. From the slopes of Mount Kumbel there are views of the entire West Tien-Shan Range, with a variety of descents to choose from, within and beyond the borders of the resort.
