Light, powerful, and with a comfort oriented 100mm last and one of the cushier liners we've seen in this category, the Backland XTD takes some of the best of the Backland series and the polyamide Hawx Ultra and makes a run for the trailhead. Fit
Last: 100mm – A comfortable medium volume last derived from Atomic's Hawx Prime boot, meant for all day comfort and then some.
Memory Fit – Advanced heat-fitting technology creates a fully personalized shell, cuff and liner in minutes. The key is Memolink, Atomic's special additive that improves the moldability and stretch of their plastics. Expansion can be up to 6mm forefoot width and up to 10mm ankle width, resulting in a permanent and complete anatomical fit in minutes. See your bootfitter for details.

Flex: 115 – A very stiff flex for women who challenge the burliest backcountry terrain.
Liner
3D Platinum Tour Liner – Finally a touring liner with some density and padding, the 3D Platinum Tour is meant for long days in the BC. Breathable and washable.

Hybrid Overlap Shell – An open-throat and semi-overlap shell construction that improves step-in/out and foot wrapping.
Energy Backbone – A reinforced, asymmetric backbone providing extra strength for powerful skiing plus enhanced lateral energy transmission for better edge grip.
Prolite Construction – Instead of starting with a standard construction and cutting material away to save weight, Prolite does the opposite. It starts with the slimmest possible profile and then it builds up reinforcements in key areas where strength is needed.
