The W Circuit

The W Circuit, which we will be exploring on this trip, encompasses many of the most sought after sites within the Torres del Paine National Park. The journey is named for the trail that runs through three large areas, forming a “W”. The circuit winds over steep slopes, through legna (a tree native to the southern Andes) forests and sweeping vistas, as it navigates through the Ascencio Valley, the Francés Valley, and the Grey Glacier Valley. This route is a great option for those who don’t want to backpack the whole park, as there are mountain huts along the way. Most W route hikers will take between 4 and 7 days to complete it
