The Yeti Cycles SB140 LR T1 Complete Mountain Bike has few peers, on this trail or any other. It's a pumped up version of an already very versatile bike, with Fox Factory suspension and more travel to go along with more aggressive tires, compared to the standard SB140. Made from the best carbon fiber available, Yeti's TURQ models have an improved Switch Infinity assemble that improves durability and performance. Lump that all together with a threaded bottom bracket and SRAM's fantastic X01 group and Code RSC brakes, and you're looking at a trail bike that can truly be ridden (very rapidly) everywhere. Be ready to mix it up at the front of the group, the vibe of this bike is one of heightened awareness and high velocity. Mainline with confidence!
TURQ Series Carbon Frame – TURQ Series bikes are made with the highest quality carbon fiber available and offer a perfect balance of stiffness and compliance. The result is a bike that feels smooth, solid, and aggressive. Every bike is tested by the best racers in the world, including EWS World Champ Richie Rude, Yeti's in-house testing team, and ambassadors around the world.
Switch Infinity Suspension – The new line of Yeti Switch Infinity bikes builds on their award-winning performance with subtle refined leverage rates that have been adjusted for the added travel of each new bike. This balanced approach to leverage rate results in an incredibly predictable ride. T/Carbon models have the latest Switch Infinity assembly, with improved seals, bearings, and hardware.
Fox Float X Factory Rear Shock – Designed specifically to meet the demands of aggressive trail riders, the new Float X combines sophisticated damping and fade free performance with incredible light weight and outstanding structural integrity.
Shock Adjustments – Air Spring Pressure / Open/Firm Compression Lever / Low Speed Rebound / Low Speed Compression
Better Shock Tuning – Yeti has been tuning shocks in-house to ensure their kinematics pair seamlessly with their shocks. Using data acquisition and their shock dyno they are able to correlate hours of ride testing, splitting hairs over tenths of millimeters, to deliver the most out of their suspensions. The final tune is the result of countless hours of ride and lab testing with multiple, ground-up shock tunes going into the decision.
Frame Protection – An external hard cap provides impact resistance over a rubber under-guard that provides cushion against the frame.
Full Drop – Yeti's seat tubes are shorter to allow for longer dropper posts.
Internal Cable Routing with Secure Frame Ports – This may seem like a small thing, but having a clean aesthetic on the frame along with internally molded carbon tubes inside for hassle-free cable routing is key. It makes for a quiet ride and ease of maintenance. For Yeti, building a great frame is all about the details.
New Pivot Designs – Yeti's new pivot designs use 100% standard sized cartridge bearings secured with precision -- machined floating collet axles. All bearings are pressed into the linkage assembly vs. the swingarm or front triangle. The end result is perfect alignment and smooth suspension motion every time, boosting longevity.
Patented Compact Wishbone and Ultra Compact Suspension Link – The goal is simple: optimizing leverage rates while pushing the shock forward in the frame. This forward positioning allows for a large range of shock compatibility, decreases standover height, reduces shock tab sizes, increases water bottle compatibility, and increases downtube clearance.
Refined New School Geometry – From size-specific seat tube angles and chain stay lengths, to new reach numbers that keep both wheels weighted, Yeti's concentrated on making a more balanced ride. Yeti engineers and designers mined the depths of every millimeter to create a nuanced set of refinements that deliver another leap forward in how well a mountain bike can ride.
Universal Derailleur Hanger – If a hanger-bending crash occurs, the new Yeti models use the Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) interface -- the industry standard mount for a rear derailleur. The UDH is available in nearly any bike shop, Yeti dealer or not.
Fox 36 Factory – The all-mountain champ and a favorite of hard-charging trail riders everywhere. For MY23 the Fox 36 receives an update in the form of a new crown with updated design and engineering for more steer tube overlap improving durability and maintaining stiffness while dropping 20 grams. This Factory model makes full use of all these improvements, with the most tunable damper on the market, Kashima coated stanchions, and its long racing pedigree.
Fork Adjustments – Air Spring Pressure / High-Speed Compression (8 Clicks) / Low-Speed Compression (16 Clicks) / High-Speed Rebound (8 Clicks) / Low-Speed Rebound (16 Clicks)
SRAM GX / X01 Eagle – SRAM Eagle is your partner for all rides, all the time, all day. Long days, quick rides and everything in-between, Eagle is 1x12 at its best. With the all new 520% range, all new colourways and seamless compatibility with the rest of the ecosystem, Eagle is there to maximize the potential of your ride experience.
SRAM Code RSC – Meet the new standard for hard-hitting, heavy-duty braking. SRAM added 15% extra piston power and 30% more volume in the lever reservoir, ensuring peak performance for the full run. And with SwingLink™ and Lever Pivot Bearing technologies, lever feel remains smooth and progressive, no matter how hard the pull. Go deeper and grab more power.
SRAM Centerline Rotors – 200mm Front / 180mm Rear
DT Swiss XM1700 with 350 Hubs | 30mm – The best aluminium all mountain wheels. Period. That is what DT Swiss designed the XM 1700 Spline wheels to be. DT have given it everything needed to dominate the mountain. Light and robust welded rims, perfect tubeless compatibility for grip and puncture resistance as well as our reliable hubs with Ratchet freehub and a 36 tooth engagement. Equipped with the XM 1700 SPLINE nothing can stop you from your personal all mountain adventure.
Maxxis Minion DHR II Rear Tire – With side knobs borrowed from the legendary Minion DHF, but widened to provide more support, the DHR II corners like no other. The center tread features ramped leading edges to improve acceleration and sipes to create a smooth transition when leaning the bike. Paddle-like knobs on the center tread dig in under hard braking and help keep the bike under control. Pair it with a Minion DHF up front for the ultimate aggressive trail riding tire combo!
Maxxis Minion DHF Front Tire – With a tread design that deftly balances rolling speed with braking and cornering traction, it’s no wonder why the Minion DHF is one of the most imitated tires in mountain biking.
