Salomon QST Stella 106 Skis - Women's 2023

The Salomon QST Stella 106 Skis are refined perfection in a soft snow freeride tool. They're nimble, lightweight, and directional, perfect for crushing around the resort or dancing through trees in the side country. They're dependable and fun, and the level of technical detail put into them is simply astounding. Cutout sections in the tips are filled with cork for lightweight dampening, and a blend of flax and carbon fiber is placed underfoot. The full poplar core lends the stability and power needed for high speed performance, and the tapered tips and twin rocker profile keeps them loose and bouncy. Find out why so many skiers of all levels turn to the Stella 106 when there's fresh snow to be slayed!

Rocker Type

Tip and Tail Rocker

Core

Full Poplar WoodcoreA woodcore from tip to tail offers optimum stability on snow and powerful rebound. Maximizes ski-to-snow contact and filters vibrations.

Laminates

Cork DamplifierCork is 16 times more absorptive than Koroyd. Using it in the tip and/or tail of the ski enables a high level of vibration absorption and dampening while decreasing weight.

C/FX Carbon WeaveC/FX is a fiber layer consisting of Carbon and Flax woven together. It combines the strength, stability, minimal weight of carbon with the increased level of dampening of the flax.

Toe

Easy Step-In Fixed-Stop Broad PedalThe tip of the boot is optimally positioned by means of a fixed stop and a positioning guide. In response to even slight pressure on the broad step-in pedal the pin levers shift horizontally inward and quickly and precisely engage in the inserts of the boots.

Forward Toe ReleaseWhen the heel is released the boot tips forward. Only Fritschi bindings will then also release the boot from the frontal unit at the right time, between an angle of approx. 65° to 75°, depending on the form of the boot’s front.

Secure Downhill SkiingThe pin levers of the innovative frontal unit shift horizontally and thus absorb vertically acting forces. An unintended release caused by shocks from the bottom is prevented without the need to block the system while skiing downhill.

Heel

Direct Power TransmissionThe power is directly transmitted to the skis via the core tower integrated in the compact heel unit. The large diameter of the core tower allows the broadest support of the system in this category.

Defined ReleaseThe DIN values for the lateral and frontal release can be infinitely set on the Xenic 10. Additionally, it features 10 mm length compensation. With this, the pressure on the system remains constant, even when the skis are flexed, which ensures a defined release in any situation.

Tour Mode

Sophisticated Walk ModeUsing the climbing aid as a lever the Xenic 10 can very easily be changed from the downhill to the uphill position with just half a turn of the heel. The stopper locks automatically on the first step. The walk-mode levels of 2° and 11° and the climbing aid, which is controllable with the pole, provide absolute ergonomic comfort in climbing uphill.

Requires Boots with Tech Fittings
