Despite the massive changes in backpacking technology over the past 40 years or so, a simple foam sleeping pad has remained a reliable steadfast throughout. It will never puncture or deflate, it's super light, and it deploys in seconds. The Big Agnes TwisterCane™ Bio Foam Sleeping Pad does offer a bit of technological innovation on the basic foam mat, but thankfully it's of the eco-friendly variety, not the let's-add-more-moving-parts variety. The foam in this pad is made of more than 60% sugarcane resin, but still offers the same timeless ultralight comfort and convenience.
