The most digital of all Nomads, you say? This one. Definitely. The Santa Cruz Bicycles Nomad 6 CC X0 AXS Complete Mountain Bike takes all the buzzwords--from versatile to capable to rowdy and beyond--and puts them in a high tech blender, resulting in a high-powered smoothie. Optimized for MTB madness, the Nomad bows to no bike. The model has always been one of the best do-anything bikes on the planet, with each iteration bringing more to the table. This model adds SRAM's amazing Transmission drivetrain, a huge leap forward in durability and ease of use. When the AI's come for bike designers, they'll move on, knowing there's no work to be done: Santa Cruz already made this bike!
Carbon CC Frame – Santa Cruz's highest grade CC-level carbon frame is every bit as stiff and strong as their C-level frame, but weighs about 280 grams less, due to the use of lighter, stronger, and more expensive carbon fiber. Santa Cruz is also able to truly integrate the shock mounts, pivot mounts, dropouts and disc brake tabs into the structure, using all uni-directional carbon plies. The shock mount isn't merely riveted or bonded on after curing, but is an integrated part of the fiber lay-up. This makes Santa Cruz's carbon frames incredibly strong and able to absorb impact better than any other frame they've tested.
Lower-Link Mounted VPP® Suspension – VPP is based on the patented principle of having two short links rotating in opposite directions. This system provides huge design flexibility, allowing Santa Cruz to manipulate shock rates to the intended purpose and character of each model; from short travel endurance bikes to World Championship winning DH machines. This redesign mounts the shock lower on the bike, making for an even better ride quality.
Proportional Chainstay Lengths – With rear ends that match the size range, this bike's geo and ride quality is the same for all riders.
Bottle Cage Mount – Within the front triangle, fits piggyback shocks.
Integrated Flip Chip for High/Low Setting Adjustment
Threaded Bottom Bracket
Integrated Headset
Internal Brake and Dropper Cable Routing
ISCG-05 Tabs for Chainguide Compatibility
Molded Rubber Swingarm and Downtube Protection
Fox Float X2 Factory Rear Shock – The biggest air shock in the game has seen all new everything: damper, chassis, main piston, bottom-out bumper, shaft, seals, and compression curve. Long story short, the latest X2 has improved on the industry best. From small bump suppleness to big hit control, this is an amazing air shock.
Shock Adjustments – Air Spring Pressure / High- and Low-Speed Rebound and Compression / 2-Position Lockout Lever
The Glovebox™ – Seal whatever you want to carry on your ride inside your downtube. Secure and easy to access, the Glovebox™ has a Tool Wallet and Tube Purse inside, to help organize your stuff too. Simply cavernous!
RockShox Zeb Ultimate – Long on travel, short on excuses, ZEB Ultimate is a whole new breed of fork designed to challenge the limits and take on the world’s toughest enduro tracks. An updated stiff 38mm chassis includes the new Charger 3 RC2 damper with vibration-killing ButterCup technology. RockShox's highest performing, athlete-proven technologies matched with premium style plays. This is ZEB.
Fork Adjustment – 3 Position Compression Adjust (Open / Pedal / Firm), External Rebound, Air Spring Pressure
SRAM X0 Eagle AXS Transmission – The next generation SRAM Eagle Transmission is a radically robust, fully integrated and interdependent wireless drivetrain. Built around the universal constant of the wheel axle itself, the Full Mount hangerless attachment creates a far stronger connection to the frame with a super tough derailleur. Shifting under load is made possible due to a combination of X-SYNC technology and cassette mapping, creating seamless shifts even during your hardest power output. The new AXS Pods are extremely ergonomic and highly customizable, so shifting gears is light and intuitive.
SRAM Code Silver Stealth – SRAM's legendary, full-powered brake now features a new technology to improve your cockpit aesthetic: Stealth. The all-new lever body design brings the hose closer to the bar, allowing for a sleeker, more modern ride. The proven internals remain the same, with SwingLink driving its signature feel.
SRAM HS2 Rotors – When it comes to heat dissipation, and therefore power, thicker is better. SRAM's new HS2 rotors are 2.0mm thick, helping them avoid heat fade and maintain their power on long descents.
Mixed Wheel Sizing – The mixed "mullet" wheel sizing of top level racers has trickled down to the rest of us: with a 29" wheel up front for maximum grip and rollover clearance, you'll have a smoother and more solid stance through rough stuff and turns. The smaller 27.5" rear wheel helps you initiate those turns, while keeping the rear end maneuverable and out of your shorts.
RaceFace ARC Offset 30 Rims Laced to Industry Nine 1/1 Hubs – Bomber 6069 aluminum rims on Industry Nine's storied hubs: these wheels are meant to take a beating. They're made to handle the toughest trails around without a weight penalty, balanced and incredibly durable.
Maxxis Assegai Front Tire – With tall knobs that punch through dust and loam to find traction, this tire offers support and confidence on wet roots and rocks. While other tires excel only in certain conditions, the new Maxxis Assegai is built to go fast everywhere.
Maxxis Minion DHR II Rear Tire – A real rider's tire choice, these Minions bring a mix of rolling resistance, wear, and performance that can't be beat. With MaxxGrip up front and MaxxTerra compound on the rear and durable EXO sidewalls, this is a no-compromise rubber setup
