Roughout Leather [Olive Mohave Colorway] – Roughout leather is created using a reverse-suede technique at Red Wing's own S.B. Foot Tanning Co. While most tanneries split, thin and weaken the hide to create the rough suede surface, Red Wing simply use the other side of the hide. By doing so, they avoid splitting or thinning their full-grain hides. This makes Red Wing's Roughout leather just as strong and durable as their other leathers.
