A court jester of the bike world, the 5010 knows how to milk every last drop of merriment out of a ride, even if it's one of those too-long and too-hot epics that have you returning in a daze, shivering, as night falls. The 5010 keeps fun flame alive with its 27.5" wheels, slack front end, and proportional chainstays - a bike that takes all that freestyle frivolity very seriously indeed. All hail the 5010, one of the ziggiest, zaggiest mountain bikes ever created. This model has Reserve Carbon rims and SRAM's amazing X01 AXS wireless drivetrain.
Carbon CC Frame – Santa Cruz's highest grade CC-level carbon frame is every bit as stiff and strong as their C-level frame, but weighs about 280 grams less, due to the use of lighter, stronger, and more expensive carbon fiber. Santa Cruz is also able to truly integrate the shock mounts, pivot mounts, dropouts and disc brake tabs into the structure, using all uni-directional carbon plies. The shock mount isn't merely riveted or bonded on after curing, but is an integrated part of the fiber lay-up. This makes Santa Cruz's carbon frames incredibly strong and able to absorb impact better than any other frame they've tested.
Lower-Link Mounted VPP® Suspension – VPP is based on the patented principle of having two short links rotating in opposite directions. This system provides huge design flexibility, allowing Santa Cruz to manipulate shock rates to the intended purpose and character of each model; from short travel endurance bikes to World Championship winning DH machines. This redesign mounts the shock lower on the bike, making for an even better ride quality.

SRAM G2 RSC Brakeset – G2 RSC is the half-ton pickup truck of the mountain bike brake world — dependable, go anywhere, do anything, plenty of power when you need it, and all of the features you need. The new G2 RSC is based on the SRAM Code design, so it puts Code-like power and modulation into a mini-Code package. And of course the signature Guide lever-feel and contact-point adjustability ensures that this brake works great for every rider. The G2 RSC presents rider-controlled offering with an alloy blade, lever pivot bushings, stainless steel hardware.
Avid CenterLine Rotors – The new CenterLine Rotor was designed to keep the center of friction consistent throughout rotation thereby minimizing vibration offering consistent performance and a quiet ride.
Maxxis Minion DHR II Tires – A real rider's tire choice, these Minions bring a mix of rolling resistance, wear, and performance that can't be beat. With MaxxGrip up front and MaxxTerra compound on the rear, this is a no-compromise rubber setup.
Santa Cruz Reserve 30 Carbon Rims with i9 1/1 Hubs – The EWS is strict—break certain parts and you DNF. The rule’s meant to encourage sensible management of equipment, but it’s also tipped the balance in favor of toughness and reliability. Enter the Reserve 30. Its 30mm internal width supports a 2.3-2.5” tire and the thick rim beads stand up to the abuse of tough, rocky, steep tracks ridden at elite speed. While DH rims see greater single impacts, nothing beats the full weekend of regular abuse that an EWS race dishes out. To say nothing of the infamous 'Anti-Grip' and the rocks buried within the moondust in the Andes of Chile.
RockShox Reverb Stealth Dropper Seatpost – Don’t let its familiar good looks fool you—Reverb is a whole new weapon. Its internals have been completely re-engineered to improve on its already legendary performance and to offer enhanced reliability: all the smallest details, down to the single seal, have been re-evaluated and updated to pass the hardest and longest durability tests. Additional bushing overlap also improves performance over time. This is the brand-new Reverb, engineered for the next-generation mountain biker.
Santa Cruz Carbon Handlebar – Designed and made exclusively by Santa Cruz, using everything they've learned from creating World Championship winning carbon bicycles. Each bar has a dialed amount of stiffness, keeping vibration in check and minimizing arm fatigue. Discrete markers take the pain out of set-up alignments and stealth branding keeps things class.
