Front and rear wheels are asked to do unique tasks--so why would they be built the same? The Crank Brothers Synthesis E 27.5" Carbon Wheelset features front- and rear-specific wheels, each designed to do much more than just roll. The front wheel needs to track around corners and stay planted through roots, so it is more compliant, a little wider, and even has fewer spokes. The rear wheel is stiffer and stronger to better deal with the unique forces at the trailing end of a bike. These rims have a lifetime warranty and i9 Hydra hubs, so you'll have years to get the most out of them.

Tuned Front and Rear System for Enduro Riding and Racing – Compliant tuned front wheel improves handling and maximizes grip and control in turns. Wider inner rim width supports wider tire profile in front, increased volume and contact patch, and rounds tire profile to enhance turning. Stiff tuned rear wheel supports peak loads and enhances stability and tracking at speed. Narrower inner rim width supports narrower tire profile in rear, improves rolling resistance, and sharpens tire edge for grip.
Front- and Rear-Specific Carbon Layup – The front wheel is 31.5mm wide, the rear has an internal width of 29.5mm.
