By: Kevin Katsafanas: Ski & Snowboard Bags Buyer | November 1, 2022

When you’re dreaming of all that sweet new snowboard gear you’re going to get next season, a snowboard bag is rarely the first thing that comes to mind. But one thing that will get your stoke even higher than a brand new board is planning out the trip of a lifetime. And whatever that means to you, whether it’s a long car trip to the closest mountain, a journey out West to experience the big mountain meccas, or a flight across the world to chase legendary Japanese powder, you’re going to need a good one of the best snowboard bags to help get you there when traveling with snowboard gear. For each type of traveler (and snowboarder), different features take priority, so we put together this list of our favorite snowboard bags on the market to help you pick out the bag that's right for you.

New This Year:

Each year brands continue to push the envelope with materials and construction, going for lighter weight while still maintaining the durability you need out of a snowboard bag to last season after season. Additionally, they are creative with adding additional storage so you can stow everything from boots and techwear to the little accessories that make all the difference.

Growing up in the northwest I took to snowboarding when I was 13 and spent most weekends up at Snoqualmie riding the park. As I grew as a rider I traded out rails and jumps for more freeride terrain found on the other side of I-90 over at Alpental. With evo in my backyard, I spent countless weekends hounding the shop staff about gear. Finally, when I was 19 years old I found my way into a full-time position selling snowboards at the Seattle store. In the decade since I've worn a number of hats in the outdoor industry in addition to talking gear, including spending time as the Seattle store's marketing and events coordinator. 9 years later and I am still here at evo in my role as the Buyer for men's techwear, and ski/snowboard bags.
