Light enough for full days of trailbreaking but stout enough to charge the descents, the Free 107 starts with a Poplar wood core enhanced by Carbon stringers and builds up a soft snow-loving profile with plenty of tip and tail rocker around them. With a weight of only 1540 grams in a 173, the Free 107 competes favorably in mass with many much narrower options, while full sidewalls underfoot provide solid edgehold on the steep and firm.

The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
