Thermolite HL-1 – HL-1 high loft insulation is a fiberfill constructed with a unique 3D crimp of hollow-core and solid fibers, which provides excellent lightweight warmth with superior durability. Ether Light XT Air Sprung Cells™ – Inspired by the springs of a modern pocket sprung mattress, dozens of interconnected chambers (called Air Sprung Cells™) perfectly support your weight and conform to your body contours. The Ether Light range uses loops of TPU material to connect the top and bottom welds. This produces a thicker cell to give you a plush sleeping experience without compromising on Sea to Summit's Air Sprung Cell comfort.

Integrated Airstream Pumpsack – The Airstream™ Pumpsack is Sea to Summit's big volume mattress pump. The clever design opens at one end to stow the air mat and the other end unfolds to become the built-in pump. The Airstream™ Pumpsack can be inflated with a single breath and takes just two or three cycles to fill the mat. Not only is it faster than inflation by mouth, but there is minimal breath condensation entering the mat and it eliminates dizziness from blowing the mat up directly by mouth.

Pillow Lock™ System – The Pillow Lock™ System comprises of self-adhesive hook-and-loop patches which are supplied with all Sea to Summit sleeping mats (as of Spring 2019). Attached to your sleeping mat, these patches secure your pillow and prevent it slipping – yet they will not snag on clothing or other lightweight fabrics. All Sea to Summit Pillows (as of Spring 2019) are compatible with this system. Existing pillows can be made Pillow Lock™ compatible by adding an Aeros Pillow Case.

Extrusion Laminate – Extrusion lamination is common in the medical and aeronautical industries, but Sea to Summit pioneered its use in outdoor products. Liquid Thermoplastic Urethane is applied to the face fabric through an extrusion head, where it bonds permanently. The result: Sea to Summit sleeping mats are more reliable and longer-lasting.
