The Salomon HPS - Taka 2.0 Splitboard is designed for speedy uphill travel without sacrificing on the descent. The reduced profile makes it Salomon's lightest, most buoyant shape, achieved by utilizing the Ghost Green Core and Damplifier Lite honeycomb inserts. The large rockered nose and tapered directional shape floats and pivots with ease in deep snow and it comes with custom-cut, cult-favorite Pomoca Skins and Plum hardware. The base is 100% recycled too, so the board is lighter on your feet and on the planet.
Powder Camber – Camber between feet for carving and precision, and huge rocker in the nose for flotation in very deep powder.
Flex Rating: 3 (1 Soft - 5 Stiff)
Tapered Directional – Tail width is slightly tapered (2-20mm). This loosens up turning initiation and improves floatation in deeper snow without sacrificing edge hold on hardpack.
Radial Sidecut – Radial is the classic sidecut for consistent response forward and switch.
Popster – Popster's shaped core profile thins out under foot and thickens outside your bindings before tapering again at tip and tail to maximize the natural snap and pop of wood. Feels like your skateboard kicktail finally connected with your snowboard.
Ghost Green Core – Ghost Green Core components have been selected and designed to optimize pop and reduce weight while utilizing sustainable attributes of a super light paulownia wood.
FSC® Certified Wood Core
Biaxial Medium Density Fiberglass – Medium density European-made fiberglass layers guarantee a consistent quality level, for light and lively boards.
Damplifier Lite – Lightweight honey comb materials and cork combined and strategically placed in the tip and tail for better flotation, less inertia for easier steering, more control, and increased dampening and shock resistance.
GreenPoxy 28 Resin
ABS Sidewalls – The molecular structure can be described as a concrete bar combining toughness for energy transfer and dampening properties for impact absorption.
100% Recycled Sintered Base – Provides a moderate balance between the speed created by a hard surface and good wax retention.
Fine Stone Finish – Fine stone finish helps speed up in powder or softer snow conditions.
All-Mountain Edge Bevel – A 1° edge holding tune throughout the key parts of the sidecut meets a 2° bevel between the feet. This delivers the most solid edge hold with no hang-ups.
Castor Bean Bio-Based Topsheet
Plum Hooks – PLUM hooks are specifically made for high performance splitboarding. Their asymmetric profile provides a perfect link between all the parts. They are light and easy to use.

Endorsed by hard chargers everywhere, the Spark R&D Surge ST Splitboard Bindings have undergone sufficient change to warrant an upgrade to "ST" - smooth touring - status. Spark's own overmolding process puts low-friction, high strength plastic over existing metal components to reduce friction and increase durability pretty much anywhere the binding moves, making touring smoother, easier and quieter. Still the stiffest of the Spark offerings, the Surge ST also has a re-designed Asym highback and overmolded ST Whammy Bars where the bar meets the baseplate. A no-compromise approach to the riding after the approach.
Improved ST (Smooth Touring) Mode – Spark injection molds a proprietary thermoplastic over existing aluminum or steel parts in a process called "overmolding," reducing friction and improving durabillity.
ST Whammy Bars – Overmolded plastic blend where the climbing wire meets the baseplate to eliminate stickiness. (Note: not backward compatible with previous Arc, Surge or other older models)
ST Touring Brackets – Overmolded with low-friction proprietary plastic over and through the bracket holes in the aluminum base - strong, smoother pivoting, and lasts 4 times longer than the old brass bushing.
CNC Machined Baseplates – CNC machined baseplates remain solid for max stiffness and durability. All of the baseplate side windows have been partially filled to increase durability and strength
Pillow Line Straps – Pillow Line Straps are lightweight, durable, comfortable, waterproof, one-piece molded construction, and made 100% in-house. Surge ST ankle straps are wide and asymmetrical around the boot for incredible all-around support. Toe straps are designed to be used as a toe cap, but also fit nicely as a traditional strap across the top of the boot.
Ladders and adjusters are produced in-house with unique thermoplastics that maintain flex over a wide temperature range.
Proven Burton Buckles
Asym Rip 'N' Flip Highbacks – Asymmetrical design features individual left and right highbacks that slope inward matching the rider’s stance / The upper section is flatter for improved lateral mobility / More material at the base for increased longevity and durability / Higher bottom edge won’t snag on boots with crampon welts or soles that wrap high on the heel
Tool free micro-adjustable from 0° to 22° for complete customization of your forward lean angle
Flippin’ FLAD toggles between your forward lean angle and -13° touring position for easy transitions.
Made with proprietary custom blended materials for improved strength and durability, while minimizing weight.
Lateral slots for our BD Touring Strap for greater edge control while skinning.
