Swallowtail – Reduces surface area in the tail to enhance float at the nose.

44% Poplar / 56% Paulownia – Sustainably harvested, the blend keeps the board powerful, light, and nimble.

1x Carbon Stringers from Rear Inserts to Tail – Carbon in the tail provides response, support and pop to the tail while allowing the nose to remain softer.

Flax Touring Bracket and Inserts Plates – Weston places an additional layer of flax under the splitboard inserts and under the ski binding area for improved screw retention. Flax has the added benefit of providing some damping which helps in that area since it takes abuse with every step, plus it’s natural and sustainable.

UMHW PE – Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene has one of the highest impact strengths of any plastic out there, which means it can take a beating and look as good as new. For additional durability, the tip and tail sections are stitched to the core for a tighter bond.

Sintered Durasurf 4001 – The gold standard in bases. The 4000-series sintered bases have a higher density than other options on the market, and are therefore more durable. Additionally, it absorbs more wax, making for a faster and smoother ride. 4000-series PTEX is usually reserved for only top-of-the-line boards due to a higher manufacturing cost, but at Weston it’s the minimum standard.
