Atomic Bent 100 Skis Review - 2025

The Lowdown

If versatility and pure freestyle fun is what you are looking for in a ski, the 2025 Atomic Bent 100 is your answer. Known for its freeride to freestyle range, the 100 has been reimagined from to tip to tail boasting a lighter core, a new profile and improved float for better handling in variable conditions. From resort freeriding to playful backcountry lines, this ski has the wight and capability to do it all.

My all mountain go-to ski is normally a 108mm waisted ski and I was excited to put the new Bent 100 through its paces, especially since the skis felt so light when picking them up and tossing them in the truck. After my first run, it became very clear that these skis were made to be a do everything, go anywhere ski. Playful, floaty, sturdy, the Bent 100 is at home everywhere on the mountain and is light and nimble to pop and spin off every feature yet sturdy in variable conditions.

Technical Details

Beloved by many park skiers, there are a few new updates on the 2025 Bent 100 that make it more at home skiing peak to park. A new profile with 5% more rocker, over the 2024 model, gives the ski more tail pop and easier transition to skiing switch, paired with a Poplar light wood core and your inner Bobby Brown comes out. I found this combination resulted to a feeling of confidence spinning, popping and jibbing around the mountain. Variable conditions are where I had the most fun on the 100’s. Freeride specific HRZN 3D fully wraps the tip and tail profiles for better float in deeper snow and a more playful experience cutting through crud or a mogul field. It was at home finding transitions all over the mountain and seamlessly transitioned from all-mountain to freestyle.

Dura Cap Sidewalls run base to top sheet for more controlled power transmission and greater edge to edge grip in firmer conditions. I felt as though you could really trench with these skis and the 5% more rocker profile popped you back up and over to help initiate the next turn. For the park crowd a thicker Resist edge adds durability for rails, trees, boxes, pvc, anything you want to slide on.

Ride Impressions

Before we dive into my on-snow impressions of the 2025 Atomic Bent 100 skis, here is a little about me and my riding style for context: I like a ski that charges hard and usually gravitate towards a more traditional directional ski since I am not a Bobby Brown or Chris Benchetler...

All-Mountain
The Bent 100s have a real playful poppy all mountain feel. It was super fun cutting through chopped up pow fields or down bumpy mogul runs because the skis is so easy to pop and get off the snow. Light to swing around in tight situations and the tip and tail float better than I was expecting. Overall, the freestyle roots of the ski really shine all over the mountain and I feel as though I spent equal times on snow as I did in the air. They do really excel from peak to park and felt at home all over the mountain.

Touring
Weighing in at 1700g per ski, and mounted with all new Shift 2.0 bindings, I took them out for a few days in the Schweitzer and Crystal backcountry. They skied just like in the resort and it was an awesome feeling to have a more playful and familiar ski underfoot while out of bounds. They felt great walking up and even better on the way down popping off pillows or natural features.

All in all, the new Bent 100s deserve recognition for catering to many different skill levels and styles. They are great fun on variable days and make it easy to jump and jib around on the way down to the park. If you are looking for a ski to handle year-round conditions with a sprinkling of touring days in there, the 100s should be on your short list.

Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)

Pros

  • Playful – Freeride specific HRZN 3D increases the playful attitude, these things want to spin, jump and jib around.
  • Lightweight – At 1700g per ski, they are a great choice for a more playful hybrid-touring ski.
  • Durability – The park crowd will be stoked on the durability and versatility of these skis.

Cons

  • Weight - Because the skis are 1700g’s, they did feel a bit twitchy at high speeds when trying to carve or dig into the turns.
  • Soft Flex – Those who are used to a stiffer ski, or demand more out of the ski may find the Bent’s a little soft and too forgiving on steeper and firmer terrain.

Who Are They For?

For those who like to surf and jib around the mountain or who want to push the limits in the park and in the air. The 2025 Atomic Bent 100s are an approachable ski that does it all, on or off-piste and are built for forgivness and progression all over the mountain.

The Bottom Line

The 2025 Atomic Bent 100s are a ski that does it all from park laps, to all-mountain cruising, to touring. They really do like to have a good time on whatever kind of terrain they are on and can adapt to any conditions thrown at them. Featuring an updated topsheet with the latest art by Chris Benchetler and the versatile reliability of a 100mm waisted ski, it will be hard to leave these at home when heading out to the mountain.
