If you haven’t gotten out on a wakeskate yet, you owe it to yourself to give it a try. It combines the simplicity and freedom of skateboarding with the speed and fun of wakeboarding. You can make big, high-angle carves, or practice your technical tricks and footwork. And wakeskates have come a long way since folks started putting grip tape on wakeboards. The best wakeskates are designed to be consistent and predictable so that you can focus on your riding, not the board. That’s why we’ve put together this list of the best wakeskates on the market to make shopping a little simpler.
Every wakeskate on this list is a fun ride, what sets them apart are their minute strengths and weaknesses. Each skate is best aligned with a particular riding style, and our breakdowns make it easy to figure out what you’re looking for when choosing a wakeskate. So get ready, summer is here, and it’s time to get out behind the boat or session the wake park.
Want to get into wakeskating? Then you're gonna need the Ronix Rove Karver Wakeskate Board. Three deep fins and a high surface area make this board bigger and friendlier than other boards in the Ronix lineup. This is a perfect beginner board, that will still be a blast as you develop your skills.

You might have lost the 'kick push', but that's ok. With the Ronix Social Wakeskate Board, there's the same sensation of independence, rule-less creativity, kickflips, shuvits, and tre flips you love doing on concrete. It's even (maybe/probably) still Lupe Fiasco approved. The Social brings a true skateboard feel to the water.

I grew up on the north end of Lake Washington and was surrounded by watersports enthusiasts who all had an immense passion for any activity done on the water. My dad has also worked in the boating industry my whole life, so those two factors were the main building blocks that shaped my love for the industry from a young age.
After attending Western Washington University, I moved back to the Seattle area and worked as a sailing instructor for a number of years at my cousin’s rental shop on Lake Union before joining the evo family in 2012.
At evo, I started out on the customer service team and worked my way onto the merchandising team which gave me the opportunity to integrate my passion and love for the water into a career as the Watersports Buyer. I still reside in the Seattle area with my wife Katie and two sons, Wes and Carter.
